Excellent technique, confident style

Drawing on European and South American music, the duo Accordéon Mélancolique offers a disc that lives up to their name. The emphasis is on melody in both cover and original tunes for accordion, and the style is strongly European/Gypsy/jazz rooted. Their technique is excellent, their style confident. It's a worthy exploration of new music for this often underrated instrument.
