THE WAIT IS OVER!!!!!!!--you are the django of the voice, the tunes are so soulful they bring tears to my eyes.
i've got to see you in concert---hopefully someday! the passion for this music really shines through on DJANGO CHANTE--hats off to polytour. After listening to django chante about 25 times , i have come to this conclusion---it is by far my most favorite "gypsy" style music disc and easily one of my top ten favs of all time. It gets better with each listen---as i discover all the nuances that bring the music to life---your singing really adds so much emotion to an already emotional music. the musicanship on "le sheik" is amazing----what a fun track----fingers flying,this must be a favorite of yours,a real show stopper. "Billets doux" is so cool, with the slow intro and then full speed ahead with your vocals!!! Every track is a gem, i wish i had a box of discs, because everyone i play it for loves it---you need a distributor in the states. If you have the time and its not too much to ask, would you send me the chords for "le sheik" and "billets doux" so i can play along with you guys. Je tenais aussi à vous remercier pour le bonheur que me procure le 'Roi des jongleurs', ce disque tourne depuis un an (sans arrêt, si, si!) sur le lecteur-CD de mon laboratoire. Je continue de chantonner 'Vous n'avez que moi, et je n'ai que vous...' sur l'air de 'My Blue Heaven'! Vous la mettrez sur le prochain CD cette version? Greetings Jean-Pierre, my name is scott and i live in lancaster, pennslyvania, usa---i just got your disc mail ordered from a shop in canada after visiting your web site. i've been playing it non-stop since it arrived. i'm a big django fan and a guitar player myself, but i love the sound of the accordian and the cool addition it makes to the swing sound. i love the tune "menilmontant"---your vocals are excellent on that piece (as they are throughout the disc)--could you give me the chord changes for that number? thanks for the great music and you have a new fan across the atlantic. let me know when you have a new disc or when you might be in this part of the world. all the best, scott

I stumbled upon your link on the Django Swing page and had a listen to your sound clips and I was hooked! The Ottawa Folklore Centre had it in stock (thanks heavens for 1 800 numbers!) and it arrived yesterday. I've been spinning it non-stop...Any plans for another CD? I sure hope so, because I can't get enough of your beautiful balance of guitar, accordion, and wonderful vocals! It's great to hear a group sing these classics as well as play tasteful instrumental leads. Merry Christmas. You've made mine.
